It is time for the world to meet and better understand Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.

More than a century ago the brave and prophetic Jesuit priest reconciled science and religion, matter and spirit, war and peace. He foretold the emerging internet and discovered the driving force behind the evolving global consciousness.

Teilhard defined what evolution means on a personal and universal level and showed through his own life how to live that truth. His teachings and ideas offer realistic solutions to the dire challenges we now face as a species.

New collaborations and events, such as the N2 Conference—The Noosphere at 100: The Future of Human Collective Consciousness, The Teilhard Project, and the Human Energy Project demonstrate that interest in Teilhard’s life and ideas is growing.

My friends Frank and Mary Frost have recently completed their long-awaited documentary, Teilhard: Visionary Scientist, which is available for international streaming on the PBS app until the end of May of 2025.

Thomas Wolfe, Flannery O’Connor, Annie Dillard, and other distinguished authors have written about Teilhard’s influence on their lives. Their work and indeed most books about Teilhard are written by theologians, scholars, and philosophers who analyze his work and place it into an historical perspective.

Unlike other authors, I embraced Teilhard’s ideas because I was desperate to find a guiding light in my life when all felt like darkness. His messages came to me in both a poetic and practical way. Yet I studied his work while completing my doctorate, so I also understood his teachings from a scholarly angle. As a result, Just Trust Life is written with the depth of insight, wisdom, and knowledge that study brings, without burdening the reader with the weight of scholarship.
